The LeBoeuf Pen Company honors Harry Houdini (1874–1926), history’s most famous magician, with this stunning limited edition rollerball pen. Born as Erik Weisz in Budapest and raised in Milwaukee, Harry Houdini went into show business at an early age but did not hit the big time until his magic act was booked on vaudeville’s fabled Orpheum Circuit in 1899. Houdini then began to make name for himself as an illusionist, escape artist, stunt performer and master of the publicity machine. In 1926 a blow to his abdomen ruptured his appendix but he refused to seek medical help, continuing to travel and perform. Houdini died on October 31, 1926, at age 52. His legend has only grown over the decades; today the name ‘Houdini’ has become synonymous with the world of magic and illusion. The LeBoeuf Harry Houdini Rollerball is crafted in an exclusive acrylic called Mystic Black Smoke, a smoke gray barrel with flecks of Black Magic. The barrel is engraved with Harry Houdini’s signature in red, and a gold- plated embossed coin featuring his portrait sits atop the pen cap.
